Hello there! My name's Jackson, also known as JaxRetro and I present to you my portfolio. I've started my journey into editing back in September of 2024, whether that's making edits for my own YouTube channel, or funny little edits for my favorite content creators, ARUUU and GamesCage, but I am also open to make edits for you, whether that's YouTube shorts or even long-form YouTube videos, or even videos for other Social Media accounts! I'm more than welcome to help you grow on your desired platforms!
Editing Software: DaVinci Resolve
Below, you'll find some of my most recent edits that I've done listed from newest to oldest!
Thumbnails
I can also make YouTube thumbnails. I am currently a thumbnail designer for the ARUUU VODS channel, but I can also make some for you by putting together different images from certain video games or other kinds of media, with outer strokes, drop shadows and text boxes to make it stand out!
Commissions
Commissions are now open for both Video Edits and Thumbnails! Please read below for more details!
| Long-Form Videos | Short-Form Videos | Thumbnails |
|---|---|---|
| $20 per minute | $30 per short | $25 per thumbnail |
For Video Edits, I:
Can do:- Gaming, livestream IRL-related edits in 1080p (If you have something else in mind that you want me to edit, feel free to let me know and I’ll let you know if I can or not)- Zoom in/out effects using keyframes- Pop-in effects with certain objects and text boxes- Clean transitions- Trim out dead areas of awkward silence
Can't do:- Generative AI edits- Motion Graphics or Animations, this may change overtime as these skills are not in my editing niche yet- Add copyrighted music if you’re commissioning me to do a YouTube video. Does not apply for edits for Instagram or TikTok- Any drama, sports or political-related edits
For Thumbnails, I:
Can add:- Video Game Characters- Text Boxes- Game Logos- Outer Strokes- Background- Image(s) of yourself or your OC only if you can provide a png of one, or just images of anything within reason
Can't add:- AI generated images or AI upscaling- Fanart without other artists permission (unless permission is given from the artist, then that’s perfectly fine)- Gore/Violence- Anything sports or political-related
Terms of Service
Please credit me when the final edit or thumbnail of mine is being used.
Client will pay 50% before I start their commission. This will ensure that the client is willing to move forward with me doing their commission.
Rough Drafts of thumbnails or edits will be provided with watermarks.
As of now, I am ONLY accepting payments via PayPal. However I am willing to negotiate within reason.
All I ask is to please patient with me as I cannot give an exact time on when I can deliver the final product or if it’s taking longer than expected. I will be giving out updates weekly or every other day depending on how long the project takes.
The final product will be sent via email.
I am allowed to turn down on any commission whatsoever. These reasons may include, poor communication or rude behavior from client, client not agreeing to TOS, client not filling out the attached Google Forms BEFORE emailing me. (Additional questions about my commissions are totally fine though) client not agreeing to my price, or not having a proper way they can send the payout, client giving out strict deadlines for their projects.
If you're interested in commissioning me, please fill out either one of these Google Forms, and please be patient as I review your form and will get back to you as soon as I can!
